Whilst we’re chilling out over the festive season, and making plans for the New Year we would like to remind everyone that VAT is increasing from its current 17.5% to 20% from 4th Jan 2011.

Season’s Greetings to all!!

When the scent of clementines & mulled wine are in the air you know that the year is drawing to a close. Time to put your scissors down, go home and put your feet up for a few days.

Although our website will be operating throughout the holiday season, our offices will be closed on the following days. Staff will be available to answer calls and process orders during normal working hours (9am-6pm) of the open days between Christmas and New Year’s.

To be honest we have a love/hate relationship with YASAKA scissors here at Passion scissors HQ.

Wherever we go we meet Yasaka “fans”. Whether its in Bologna at the Cosmoprof show or in good old Blackpool for the Hair & Beauty show, there are stylists that bring in 15 pairs of Yasaka scissors (“Yes they’re all mine!”) for sharpening and lets not forget the guy that brings his “vintage” 12 year old 5.5inch Yasaka Levelset with blades that are needle-thin from years of service. Our Yasaka customers are very quick to choose the scissors they want (“I’ll have the same again please!”) and look bewildered when we suggest they might try something new this time (“But its not a Yasaka?”).

Although we can’t quite put our finger on the reason for the die-hard loyalty, it just shows that the Yasaka has a special appeal that lasts through many generations. So, in the spirit of keeping up with the times we have made the Yasaka available online.

As much as we all enjoy a bit of snow around Christmas, the adverse weather conditions of late have been causing havoc for transport across the UK.

So far we have not experienced any setbacks to our deliveries, however as the bad weather continues we are expecting deliveries to some parts of the UK to take a couple of days longer than expected. To avoid disappointment we are committed to sending out parcels within 48 hours of receipt and by Next Day Delivery where possible!

All orders received by 3pm 21st Dec will be guaranteed delivery to destination by Christmas.
