Scissors are an investment and it makes sense to take care of your tools.

A good maintenance kit to clean and oil your scissors will help you do that.  We’ve been asked many times over the years for scissor oils but its been surprisingly difficult to come up with a good applicator that applies just the right amount of lube.  You see, the traditional ‘dropper’ type laid out too much oil (which draws in hairs into the screw), and brush type oil pens tend to leak.

Well we’ve finally got the perfect oil applicator – it’s so good, our sharpening team use it too.  We’ve bundled it with a high quality chamois cloth for cleaning, a screw adjustment tool, finger rings, and a genuine leather blade sheath too.

Thankyou for everyone who visited us (& helped us) at COSMOPROF 2012 in Bologna, Italy!

 We enjoyed bringing the new products to the show and seeing the amazing reactions we got. Products that did well generating interest were the PASSION MICROLIGHT & PASSION PHANTOM scissors. We were also showing the new YS PARK GUIDE COMBS and offering the YS PARK BRUSHES at special fiera prices. The LAP 32 brushes did really way as well as the Carbon Tiger brushes!

Its a long way to haul our sharpening equpment and exhibition displays, but for us its totally worth the 2000 mile round-trip. Meeting stylists and distributors at shows helps us to improve our product line and also catch up on how last years purchases have performed over the year. Most of all we enjoy going to Italy.

YS Guide comb

Just looking at the pictures bring tears to our eyes! Ahhh… Salon International…. The months of preparations, getting new products in on time,  making new displays, late nights in the office making labels and after all that worrying what if no one bothers to come?

Every year we get our nerves torn to shreds preparing for Salon but our faith is always restored when we meet to you on our stand and show you what we have that’s new. (Our faith is also restored when the whole PASSION crew get together after the show for a drink but thats another story…) 

While we’re still recovering from the aftermath of our biggest show of the year, we’d like to say a massive thankyou to everybody who visited our stand at SALON INTERNATIONAL 2011. We’ve been exhibiting at SALON for nearly 30 years and the whole experience never gets old. Getting to meet our customers face to face and chatting to them is the most rewarding part of our job. Special thanks to everyone who waited in line to get their scissors sharpened or make purchases. You really made all our months of preparation worthwhile!

With our products, we put a lot of effort into getting our stuff to work sublimely and if you’re a hairdresser, you’ll know instantly what it’s about just by picking it up.
